ⓘ Explain
Enter six NSC/IEB marks and this becomes your real APS, and the funding match becomes yours.

These are real, sealed. Create a free account — your top 3 unseal, and the Desk tracks the season for you.
Create a free accountThe queue
The Desk ranks your next moves by fit and deadline — the one thing to do next, not a wall of options.
The seal
Free shows your top 3 matches in full; the rest stay sealed with real numbers. Pro unseals them all — free for NSFAS-bracket households.
The season
It tracks real, dated deadlines — application closes and the NSFAS window — so nothing ambushes you.
The vault
Upload each document once; every application and bursary reuses it. No re-uploading the same transcript ten times.
NSFAS 2027 applications are expected to open around 1 Sep 2026 — NSFAS hasn't announced the official date yet. Get your documents ready now.
- Signed consent form. NSFAS checks your details against Home Affairs and SARS. You and your parent/guardian/spouse must sign the consent form — without it the application will not go through.
- Your SA ID (or birth certificate). A clear copy of your South African ID, or an unabridged birth certificate if you don’t have an ID yet.
- Parent / guardian / spouse IDs. ID copies for the people whose income NSFAS assesses with yours.
- Proof of household income. Payslips, or a SASSA/UIF letter, or an affidavit if unemployed. The combined household threshold is R350 000 a year (R600 000 for students living with a disability).
Requirements per nsfas.org.za. Extra forms apply if you live with a disability, are 34 or younger, or are under 18 and an orphan or vulnerable child.
NSFAS
Government funding for households under R350,000 a year (R600,000 with a disability). It covers fees and more at public universities and TVET colleges — and it isn’t a loan you repay if you meet the pass requirements.
Private & corporate
Companies and foundations fund specific fields — often engineering, health, teaching or accounting. Some ask you to work back a few years after you graduate (a service contract), which we flag on each card.
Stacking
You can sometimes combine funding, but each funder sets its own rules. Match once and we flag conflicts so you don’t accidentally break one.
Do I have to pay a bursary back?
NSFAS is a bursary, not a loan — you don’t repay it if you meet the pass requirements. Some private funders ask you to work back a few years after graduating (a service contract); we flag that on each card.
Can I hold more than one?
Sometimes. Each funder sets its own rules on combining with NSFAS or other bursaries — we flag stacking conflicts so you don’t accidentally break one.
When do bursaries close?
Deadlines vary by funder — each card shows its date where we have it. Many private bursaries close mid-year, before university application deadlines, so it pays to look early.
Is this every bursary out there?
It’s the funders we’ve indexed and verified — every one real and active, never padded with fabricated totals. We keep adding more.
Is the funding match real?
If you enter your marks, the match runs live against the real funder index — real amounts, sealed names. Without marks it’s a labelled sample. We never pad the total.
Why are the funder names sealed?
Every row is a real, active bursary with its real amount and deadline. A free account unseals your top 3 matches; Pro opens them all — and it’s free for NSFAS-bracket households.
Stop guessing. Get matched.
Enter your marks once and we’ll surface every bursary you’re actually eligible for — and flag stacking conflicts automatically.
